Why KPSEA results will not be released
Pupils who sat for their Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) examinations will have to wait a little longer for their results.
Kenya National Examinations Council CEO David Njeng’ere on Thursday announced that the marking is still ongoing as they had to prioritise KCPE.
“To parents and guardians whose children sat for the KPSEA, just know we had to prioritise the KCPE marking to have the Form 1 placement before Christmas day,” he said.
A total of 1,282,574 candidates participated in the KPSEA assessments.
Njeng’ere however highlighted that the marking is ongoing and the results will be released before they proceed to Junior Secondary School.
He noted that the results will be released in three reports; Individual learners, school-specific reports and the national report on school-based and summative assessment.
The national report will highlight the areas that require assistance as well as the number of learners at each performance level per topic who require intervention.
The individual school report will be tailored to each school and will highlight areas where students face difficulties and where schools require further assistance.
