TSC, which currently employs almost 400,000 instructors, replaced the medical allowance—which it claims was insufficient to meet their costs—with a cover.

Muthui clarified the circumstances by stating that the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) standards for work in the public sector, which cover a spouse and four children, serve as the baseline.

He said that the process of determining whether a prescription medication, durable medical equipment, health care service, or treatment plan is medically essential is known as pre-authorization.
